Tokyo, Japan – UZABASE, Inc., the operation behind SPEEDA, Asia’s largest industry and corporate information database, is delighted to announce the opening of its new research centre based in Sri Lanka. The office will be headed by Managing Director Mifnaz Jawahar and is UZABASE’s 4th overseas location in addition to its bases in Shanghai, Hong Kong, and Singapore.
In addition to sales activities, our locations in Shanghai, Hong Kong, and Singapore serve as research bases catering to those of our clients who require information available only in local languages such as Mandarin, Bahasa Indonesia and Thai. Following this trend, our new branch in Sri Lanka will serve to broaden our coverage for research and data compilation in English.
Through SPEEDA, our mission is to inspire company and industry analysis through a fusion of technological innovation and individual inspiration. Our team of specialised consultants spread across locations throughout Asia are on-hand to assist each of our clients’ research and data compilation needs. With the addition of our new base in Sri Lanka, we hope to provide our clients with an even greater level of customised research support.
Mifnaz Jawahar's Profile
Mifnaz is a CFA charterholder and certified Financial Risk Manager, with professional accounting qualifications and more than 12 years of work experience in investment research, corporate planning & analysis, business strategy, and risk management. She has extensive exposure to fundamental equity and credit research, industry research and forensic accounting reviews. Prior to joining Uzabase, she worked at Allianz Insurance in Sri Lanka, as its Chief Risk and Planning Officer where she was instrumental in setting-up the risk management functions for both the life and non-life businesses, and in the preparation of the business strategy. At Amba Research, she managed a team of offshore equity and credit research analysts working for one of the world’s largest asset managers and a leading European investment bank.
