NewsPicks Inc., a group company of Uzabase Inc., will start to stream its economic news programme "LivePicks" on international flights with All Nippon Airways (ANA) from 1 January 2018.
LivePicks is an economic news programme designed for smartphone users. Collaborating with Fuji Television’s news media “Houdoukyoku” (literally “news bureau”), LivePicks was first launched through the NewsPicks app in July 2017. With the participation of well-known businesspeople from a variety of sectors in Japan, such as Mr. Yoichi Ochiai, LivePicks delivers the news content that could not be found on any other platforms.
In order for a wider range of businesspeople to enjoy LivePicks, we will start to provide archived LivePicks shows on a monthly basis through the in-flight entertainment system on ANA’s international flights (excluding code sharing flights). With this service, we aim for travellers to experience the LivePicks shows as though they were reading a business book or magazine.
Going forward, we will continue striving to expand the content coverage to include NewsPicks Academia events and seminars, amongst other video content, in addition to LivePicks, thereby creating and providing an opportunity for businesspeople to further broaden their horizons and enrich their professional knowledge.
