Tokyo – May 22, 2020 – Uzabase, Inc. is pleased to announce that, following a meeting of its Board of Directors held today, it has taken the decision to invest USD 2 million in the form of a convertible promissory note in GlobalWonks, Inc.’s (GlobalWonks) seed financing round. In connection with this investment, Uzabase’s business intelligence platform SPEEDA has reached an understanding with GlobalWonks to integrate the offerings of GlobalWonks into its platform for the Japanese market.
GlobalWonks operates an automated marketplace connecting a global network of experts with corporate and individual clients seeking industry, country, or market information on demand, in real time and more cost-effectively than established expert networks. Over 10,000 global knowledge experts located in more than 180 countries across the globe, who operate at the very forefront of a wide range of sectors and domains, including international business, finance, and public policy, participate in the network. By facilitating real time communication with these experts, GlobalWonks offers instant access to reliable information of the highest caliber.
Following on from our conversion of Mimir into a wholly-owned subsidiary on April 17 this year, through which we acquired a network of around 6,000 experts in Japan, the partnership with GlobalWonks is expected to add further value to the SPEEDA platform in the form of GlobalWonks' worldwide network of experts, providing our users with access to in-depth knowledge and expertise on a global scale. We expect to release the integrations of the Mimir and GlobalWonks expert research services on the SPEEDA platform at some point this Fall.
